After reaching the pinnacle of popularity in the Hindi cinema business in the 1960s and 1970s, the actor remained single. Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai, Dil Deke Dekho, Teesri Manzil, Love in Tokyo, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, and Kati Patang are some of her greatest hit movies.

Shedding light on not getting married, the 79-year-old icon told Harper's Bazaar India,

“I guess I was not destined to get married. Honestly, I would have loved to get married and have children, but it wasn’t meant to be. However, I have absolutely no regrets.”

In interviews, Asha had stated that her persona as a standoffish woman has made people hesitant to ask for her hand in marriage. She had previously admitted to falling in love with an already married director, but she refused to marry him because she didn't want to be a family wrecker.

Asha is still regarded as one of the most beautiful actors of her generation, with a large fan base,  She said that

"I have always believed and continue to believe that beauty resides within the person. If you are happy, you’ll shine and if you are unhappy, it will show on your face.”

The actress maintains contact with her industry pals.
