Asha Bhosle passes away at 92

On Monday, Asha Bhosle's mortal remains were kept at her residence, allowing loved ones to pay their last respects. As a mark of respect, she was wrapped in the Indian flag. Videos captured the singer receiving state honours, with soldiers draping her casket, adorned with white lilies, in the tricolour. The final respects will continue at her Lower Parel residence until 3 PM, followed by a funeral procession to Shivaji Park crematorium in Dadar, where the last rites will be performed at 4 PM.

Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday morning due to multi-organ failure at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. She had been hospitalised for a chest infection and extreme exhaustion. She is survived by her son, Anand Bhosle, and granddaughter, Zanai. Condolences poured in for the family, with many expressing shock over her passing.
