The Shahenshah, the shining star of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is a living example of how dreams turn into reality. The tall-dark man proved his mettle and made his enduring mark in the world of Cinema.

Amit Ji made his acting debut in 1969 with Saat Hindustani, and now celebrates 50 beautiful years in the Film industry. It has truly been an outstanding journey for the superstar as he continues to cast his magic and win the audiences with his impeccable performances and charismatic personality. The actor was recently announced as the recipient of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award and has worked in over 190 Indian films in his five-decade-long career.

As Senior Bachchan marks 50 years in Bollywood, his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan pours his heart out in a heartfelt post. Sharing a throwback picture of his father, the proud son writes, “Not just as a son, but as an actor and a fan... We are all blessed to witness greatness! There is so much to admire, to learn and even more to appreciate. Several generations of cinema lovers get to say we lived in the times of BACHCHAN!!!”

Thousands of fans and friends from the industry have taken the Internet by storm to hail the superstar and celebrate this milestone. Among the barrage of good wishes, filmmaker Karan Johar too expressed his heartfelt feelings for Amit Ji and reacted to Abhishek’s post.

Karan wrote on Twitter, “He will remain the most inspiring story in the world of entertainment! Words alone cannot describe his achievements...we are all honoured to be able to watch his genius unravel in front of our eyes! Congratulations to the proud son.”

Last seen in the film Badla, Amitabh Bachchan is also the proud recipient of four National Film Awards for his performances in Agneepath, Black, Paa, and Piku.

Bachchan has entertained us for the past 50 years and has no plans to stop. The actor has four big projects in his pipeline, of which Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy releases on 2 October 2019. The other films awaiting release in the coming year include Gulabo Sitabo co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and Chehre.
