Anushka Sharma is having a difficult time excelling her cricket skills before beginning filming for Chakda Xpress. She posted a selfie of herself taking a short break after a practice session on Wednesday. Her selfie showed her wearing a white T-shirt and her hair tied back. She held her fist to her lips and looked at the camera.

"Kaash bachpan mein kuch toh cricket khela hota toh aaj haalat aise na hoti (I wish I had played some cricket as a child, perhaps I would not have suffered as much as I do now)," she wrote alongside a photo of herself. In the film, Anushka will be portraying the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.

A teaser for Chakda 'Xpress was released in January. Anushka wrote in her post about the film, "Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and will be an eye-opener into the world of women's cricket. When Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and represent her country on the international stage, it was extremely difficult for women to even consider playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several events in her life as well as in women's cricket."

Anushka recently told Harper's Bazaar in an interview that she and her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli discuss her new film's progress while showing him cricket videos. She stated that they definitely talk about her progress. When she had a productive learning day, She share  the videos with Virat and get  his feedback. Fortunately, he is not a bowler, so  she pay more attention to her coach. But yes she do consult Virat for batting advice.

Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy and is based on the life of Jhulan, who became the second Indian woman cricketer to be awarded the Padma Shri in 2012.

Chakda Xpress will be Anushka's return to acting after four years. She was last seen with Shah Rukh Khan in the 2018 film Zero. She took a long break after that and even gave birth to her first child, Vamika.
