"Our Hearts are Breaking looking at the Suffering": Anushka- Virat's Emotional Plea to the Nation

The year 2020 started off on an unpleasant note and it seems to be affecting everyone as coronavirus pandemic has hit the whole world now. Amid the national health crisis a lot of people, including celebrities, are coming forth and contributing their bit to help those in need. 

Now, Anushka Sharma has pledged her support to help the needy by donating monetary sums to the PM- cares relief fund and Chief Minister’s Relief fund (Maharashtra).

Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress informed her fans about the same with an official statement that read: “Virat and I are pledging our support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps easing the pain of our fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona”.

However, Anushka did not mention the amount that will be donated for the same. We wonder how much they are donating.

The support comes after several daily wage workers from Mumbai and Delhi were seen walking towards their native place amid the lockdown. Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan among others donated huge monetary sums to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) fund that has been initiated to battle COVID-19.
