Anushka Sen On Country Of Blind: I loved Working With Hina di, She Was Sweet & Humble

Talented actress Anushka Sen, who was last seen in Colors show Khoob Ladi Mardani: Jhansi Wali Rani is all set to feature in Rahat Kazmi’s upcoming Indo-Hollywood movie, Country Of Blind. Anushka was earlier seen in Rahat’s feature film Lihaaf, and once again the two have joined hands for an interesting project. Anushka will be seen alongside none other than Hina Khan. 

Speaking exclusively with India Forums, Anushka shared details of her character, experience of working on the project, director and Hina Khan & much more. 

Your first film Lihaaf was shot in Kashmir and it was premiered in Singapore Film Festival, how was the experience? 

It was a wonderful experience in Singapore because it was always on my bucket list to visit Singapore. The experience of shooting for the film in Kashmir was amazing and it is very special as I’m playing a protagonist in it. Being selected for a prestigious film festival and getting invited to attend it is a special thing and I’m overwhelmed with it. There were delegates and juries in the festival who saw our performances, and we all were extremely nervous but equally excited for it. For the first time, I had goosebumps while I was there. 

We saw your look for your next film Country Of Blind and it looks interesting, tell us something about that. 

Yes, we have been styled with an interesting costume which is made up of real animal fur, though no animals were harmed for it. We have shot for an era where people don’t know about eyes and the feature and use of eyes, and that’s why it’s called The Country Of Blind. It’s a very unique and unheard concept and I’m sure people will love it. I’m grateful that got to be a part of this beautiful film. 

Hina Khan and you both are from the same industry and this Indo-Hollwyood film is a new experience for both of you. How was it shooting with her?

It was wonderful. I met her for the first time and we also did a workshop together. I loved working with her, she was very sweet and humble. Not just her, but all the other actors were very hardworking and I learnt a lot working with them as they all were senior actors. 

Apart from Country Of Blind, Anushka will be seen in an upcoming music video titled Gal Karke opposite Siddharth Nigam.
