Aneri Vajani on entering Anupamaa mid way: Pressure is always going to be there but I am going to work hard

Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa has managed to create headlines right from the start. Right from the performances to the storyline to how there are constant twists and turns, everything seems to have worked out for the best. And now, bringing in more twists and turns in the show is none other than actress Aneri Vajani, who will reportedly be playing Anuj Kapadia's (Gaurav Khanna) sister on the show.

India Forums reached out to her and we quizzed her about her entry, if there is pressure of any kind, and some more. Read the conversation here.

Are you nervous/excited to join the cast, especially a show like Anupamaa?

So I always believe that whenever I am nervous about something, that's when I do something good, and I try to do better. I like being nervous is the point and I am very very excited to be a part of Anupamaa. I like to be nervous before I do a scene or before I sign up something, it makes me work a little more harder and that is the most important thing. Anupamaa is a cult show and everyone watches it, so it couldn't have been better.

Do you as an actor, feel a sense of pressure joining a show mid-way?

I have never ever entered a show mid way, I have always been there from the beginning, so this is the first time this is happening and that too Anupamaa, so of course, the pressure is always going to be there but I am just going to keep working hard and leave the rest on the audience about how they want to accept me in the show. Entering the show mid way or you are there from the start, pressure is always there to prove yourself and do something different from what you have done earlier.

Anything you can tell us about the character?

I can't speak a lot about the character right now, I just cracked it after my meeting with Rajan sir, and he told me that welcome aboard and we are still in the process. Everything was very instant. There was no audition, there was no look test, there was just an hour meeting and he decided that he wants to bring this character to life.

Lastly, do you know someone from the cast, and is there someone you look forward to working with?

Of course I know of them, everyone has been talking of them, but I don't know anybody personally but people know that I am an easy person to deal with and I am hoping that I become a family. I look forward to working with everybody, I want that I have beautiful scenes with everybody on the sets. Of course everybody would want to have a beautiful scene with Rupali Ganguly because she is an amazing actress.
