It's been a few days since Gehraiyaan's new and intriguing posters were released, and Ananya Panday, Deepika Padukone, and Siddhant Chaturvedi have become the talk of the town. Netizens adored Ananya's look as Tia in the film's posters and teaser, and now, in a recent interview, she has opened up about working with experienced actors such as Deepika, Siddhant, and Shakun. Ananya, who has only appeared in three films, was cast opposite Deepika and Siddhant in Shakun's film. On set, she said, they were all like "family."

Ananya told the Bombay Times that it was easy for her to settle in on the sets of Gehraiyaan with Deepika, Siddhant, and Shakun, all of whom have a strong body of work. She claimed that, on the contrary, it aided her performance. Ananya also stated that no one on the set made her feel inexperienced, and that working on the film helped her grow as a person and actor. Ananya also praised Shakun and stated that she admires his body of work.

Ananya said, "Shakun is a dream director for me. I’m a huge fan of his previous work and I was hoping and praying for a chance to work with him. I was drawn to how real, grey and complex the characters were. It was all in the writing for me — everything felt so honest and natural. I felt there was a lot I could borrow of myself for the part." Further, talking about working with Deepika, Siddhant, Ananya said, "If I’ve learned anything, it’s that acting is a lot of reacting. So, on the contrary, it’s always a blessing to have stronger performances opposite you to feed. The whole team was working in synergy, and we were like a family where no one made me feel like I was new in any way."

When the Gehraiyaan teaser was released, Ananya received a lot of love from the industry as well as her friends and fans. Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah, and Rajat Kapur also star in the film, which is a complex relationship drama. Dharma Productions is behind it, and it will be available on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
