Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will not be entering the movie business. Infact, she has other plans and is all set to join her dad’s business.
Navya is the daughter of Big B’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda. The young lady enjoys a massive fan following on social media and has also launched an organisation to promote gender equality in India.
Recently, she got in a conversation with a leading magazine and opened up about co founding Project Naveli, a initiative towards women empowerment in India.
In her profile, Navya talked about taking forward her father’s legacy by joining his family business. She said, "I would be the fourth generation of the family taking the lead—and the first woman. It is a great sense of pride for me to be carrying forward this incredible legacy left behind by my great-grandfather HP Nanda."
She continued, "Every day there are more and more women starting businesses, breaking records, showing up for one another and exuding independence. I am grateful to be living in a time when women are taking charge. The ball is definitely in our court, and I cannot wait to see all the amazing things we are going to achieve.”
While Navya’s noble initiatives have earned her a lot of appreciation from family and friends, a couple of netizens also trolled her. However, the star kid has been doing a great job at dealing with the hate comments with utmost grace and class.
