Amitabh Bachchan Unfit to travel overseas, misses Sharjah Book Fair in UAE; Fans disheartened

A few weeks ago Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai owing to his liver ailments, which had left the entire industry and his fans worried. Though the actor clarified the air later stating that it was a routine check-up, it looks like the actor’s health is not completely fit and fine. 

Big B missed the Sharjah Book Fair this year owing to health issues. A statement from the book fair's management read that the superstar was "unable to fulfill his scheduled attendance at the book fair on October 30 at 5 p.m., owing to health issues, which make him unfit to undertake overseas travel".

The statement also mentioned the Bollywood veteran's ailing health and his hospitalization in Mumbai earlier this month due to a liver problem.

The statement further read that Amit Ji is extremely sad about being unable to attend the event. "Bachchan sent his regards to the millions of fans who were eagerly anticipating to hear from him, in person, at the book fair. He expressed profound dismay for missing this opportunity to meet and address them."

We hope our beloved star is hale and hearty.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has entertained us for the past 50 years and has no plans to stop. The actor has four big projects in his pipeline, of which Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy releases on 2 October 2019. The other films awaiting release in the coming year include Gulabo Sitabo co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and Chehre.
