Rishi Kapoor’s untimely death was a shock to the entire nation as he has finally started on his journey to heavenly adobe. Bollywood lost another gem right after the sad demise of Irrfan Khan. While Irrfan passed away at the age of 53 on Wednesday, Rishi Kapoor breathed his last at 67 on Thursday.
Loved ones, friends, family, and fans are already mourning the death of the beloved artist/Chintuji. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan who worked with Rishi and Irrfan remember his co-stars by sharing an adorable post on Instagram.
Big B shared a collage of the late actors - Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor and wrote, “The death of an elder celebrity vs death of a younger .. the grief of the latter more intense than that of the former .. why ..? The younger more tragic Why the loss of the young seems more tragic than that of the older .. Because you lament the loss of opportunity in the latter .. unrealised possibilities.”

From ‘Naseeb’ to ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ and 'Amar Akbar Anthony' to ‘102 Not Out’ – Big B and Rishi Kapoor had worked in several films, while Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan were co-stars in Shoojit Sircar directed ‘Piku’.
Rishi breathed his last at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. His wife and actor Neetu Kapoor was by his side. “Yes, he is no more,” Rishi’s elder brother Randhir Kapoor told Hindustan Times.
In 2018, Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer for the first time, following which the actor was in New York for nearly a year to undergo treatment. He returned to India in September 2019 after recovering.
However, the actor faced a cancer relapse and succumbed to death. Rishi is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor and kids Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahani.
