Amitabh Bachchan donates 5 lakh rupees each to the families of Pulwama Martyrs!

Amitabh Bachchan is Bollywood’s one of the multi-talented actors known not only for his diverse acting but also for his generous heart. Big B always makes sure to help the people in need. A few days back, he took it upon himself to help over 2000 farmers in need. 2100 of them, from Bihar, were picked and their debts were paid off by Big B. 

On his blog, he also wrote that he desired to do something for the families of Jawans who lost their lives in the terrifying Pulwama terror attack. As promised, he has now handed over Rs 5 lakh each to all the 49 families of the martyrs. As per his blog, the handover of the money was done at the Bachchans' Mumbai office premise and he involved children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan in it. Amitabh Bachchan wrote,

They come in silence, grim and in sadness .. their faces display nothing but the futility of life .. they have lost their dear .. a husband, a son a man of the house and their bread earner .. the ladies are all young .. some with child and some in expectancy .. the elders, the parents move about in silent daze ..They are the families of the 40 brave hearts that lost their lives at Pulwama in a devastating bomb attack while they traveled in a convoy .. Another promise fulfilled ..I had wished to give some monetary gesture and consideration to the family .. I did .. The distribution is done under the aegis of the CRPF seniors, for the brave hearts were from the CRPF .. It took a while to get the names and addresses of those that lost their lives, but our efforts were fruitful, even when we had given the intention, and sought advice or indication of how I could help them .. Finally it came from the GOI as well as through personal account …It took a while ..I wanted it to be done within the premise of Janak my office .. personally .. through the hands of the children .. and they Abhishek and Shweta got the blessings and affection ..… and simultaneously the request for the soldiers that guard the upper mountainous regions , for building them trust and care .. .. and supporting through a campaign the importance of organic farming .... and a campaign for the Sloth Bear .. AND soon after .. the function for the dealers of a rather limited means capacity, a promise to help in the event of a God forbid repeat of the incident .. but here to acknowledge the worth of those that fell in the capacity of being .. they that work that build the product .. they that stand in front of cameras’ to record for the benefit of those in need of the attention are common .. it be those dealers and retailers that work and they must be given their due ..… hope lost .. smiles lost .. the little ones will ever seek when they grow on their Father .. and what of they that show pregnancy .. and what of them that shll be born to be told ..It is painful ..

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is working on his forthcoming thriller Chehre, also featuring Emraan Hashmi. He is also prepping for Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo. A comedy-drama, Gulabo Sitabo brings Big B and Ayushmann Khurrana together. He was last seen in Sujoy Ghosh directorial Badla opposite Taapsee Pannu.
