Salman Khan praises Alia Bhatt

After giving Bollywood a classic like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in the year 1999, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan are all set to reunite with Inshallah which also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The pair will be sharing the screen space for the first time. The Dabangg actor is excited to work with Alia.

The actor, who is busy promoting his upcoming movie Bharat, was seen praising Alia’s exceptional work in movies. In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, Salman said, “See how she’s turned it around, from a student to now, it’s beautiful! And no one can take credit for her growth except Alia herself. Jo bhi bole humne usko banaya hai (Whoever says we made her) is not to be believed. It’s Alia who has honed her talent.”

He added, "A godown of talent will be meeting with a bundle of talent (Laughs) actually there’s no talent here."

Salman Khan will be reuniting with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 20 years. Talking about their friendship, he said that the long-time gap between their two projects together hasn’t disrupted their relationship. "Whenever he and I meet, there is this connect it’s just not an actor-director relationship. Just because he was working with other actors, it didn’t have to hamper or spoil our equation. I work with other directors too, so should he? Now, we will be collaborating on this very sweet love story," Salman said.

Though this time Salman expressed his eagerness to work with Alia Bhatt, the actress has been all excited to work with the Dabangg actor since the beginning. The Highway actress, in fact, took to Twitter to state her happiness on bagging a film with Bhansali opposite Salman Khan.

She wrote on Twitter, "I was 9 when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait."

In the past, netizens criticized Bhansali for pairing Alia with Salman together as the two have an age gap of 26 years. Previously, when Alia was asked about the same, she said, "Bhansali is a visionary. People are too quick to judge. There is a plan in place and a reason behind the (unusual) casting. I am thrilled to be working with Salman. Even I never thought this combination [working with Khan and Bhansali] is possible. It will be an intriguing journey and Salman is genuinely warm and kind. They are a magical duo together and I am blessed to be in it."

A report in Mumbai Mirror had also revealed Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt’s character details. According to a source, Salman will play a 40-year-old businessman while Alia Bhatt will portray a 20-year-old aspiring actress. The two stars will be romantically inclined in the film, but the source confirmed that the storyline will justify the age gap between them.
