Alia Bhatt has joined the league of celebrities who have come forth to offer aid to the Indian Government to combat the spread of COVID-19. Earlier today, the actress pledged her support and contribution to the PM-CARES fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra).
Alia took to her Instagram handle and issued an official statement through her story and expressed her gratitude to all medical professionals for their selfless duties amid the coronavirus outbreak and pledged her monetary contribution to the cause.
The Brahmastra star mentioned that the contribution is a gesture of her support.
She even added a note which read: “At a time of great difficulty, while the nation is in lockdown, the central and state governments are working tirelessly to combat Covid-19. I salute the efforts of all those on the frontlines who are putting themselves at risk so the rest of us stay safe. I also pledge contributions to the PM-CARES Fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra) as a gesture of my support.”
