Alia Bhatt on how her baby repeatedly kicked her throughout awards acceptance speech

Alia Bhatt was recently honoured with the Times100 impact Award for her contribution to the entertainment industry. The soon-to-be mother delivered a moving speech about embracing her imperfections and being vulnerable after receiving the award. She also acknowledged her unborn child, who "kicked relentlessly" all through the speech.

Alia made a quip at the onset of her speech, saying she was under a "little bit of pressure" to say something insightful. "I believe that when I first started working ten years ago, my only thought was how I would one day rule the world. How everybody, everywhere would know who I am and how diligent, clever, smart, brilliant, and perfect I am. In her statement, Alia stated, "I wanted to be perfect, and I wanted the world to know it. She acknowledged, though, that she is unsure of how she ultimately succeeded.

Alia thanked her entire family. "I appreciate you all listening to me patiently. My crew deserves praise for always being there for me. I'd like to thank my family, especially my mother Soni Razdan, who gave birth to me, my father Mahesh Bhatt, my sister Shaheen Bhatt, who helped me put my thoughts into words, and my husband Ranbir Kapoor. They deserve special recognition for putting up with me every day, she quipped.

And lastly, she gave a mention to her little one. She said, when it comes to making an influence, I hope I can continue to do so in whatever way is feasible, she added of her child. However, for the time being, this prize has had a real influence on both me and my young child, who has repeatedly kicked me all through this speech. 

The actress is soaring high on success and has a boat load of other projects in the pipeline.
