Akshay Kumar to begin shooting for Aanand Rai's 'Raksha Bandhan' from April

Akshay Kumar, as we know is indeed known to be presenting one big film after the other and more so giving over 4-5 films a year.

The actor continues to be rolling with his workaholic run and has many projects rolling already. The actor is currently shooting for Bachchan Pandey in Jaipur which will be directed by Farhad Samji. As he completes the shoot of the film probably by the end of February, a tight-two week schedule is also up for him for the promotions of delayed release, Sooryavanshi.

Even though the film is yet to have a release date locked, the makers and trade analysts are optimistic about an April 2nd release.

Now reports suggest that Kumar will then begin shooting for Raksha Bandhan, which will be directed by Aanand L. Rai from the month of April. Apparently, he will be shooting for 40-45 days for this slice of life film that is set in the heartland of India. Kumar plays the role of a caring elder brother to three sisters in the film, which rides on emotion that every Indian can relate to; the tentative shooting date from April 15.

This will mean that Kumar has back-to-back projects with director Aanand L. Rai.
