Akshay Kumar reveals the true story behind the title of his upcoming film ‘Bachchhan Paandey’

Akshay Kumar has revealed the true inspiration behind his next flick Bachchhan Paandey's intriguing title. In the film, the actor plays a feared gangster with a stone eye. It stars Jacqueline Fernandez as his lover and Kriti Sanon as an ambitious filmmaker who wants to write a biopic about him. They kicked off the promotions on Wednesday by holding a press conference. 

During the event, Akshay was asked about the title Bachchhan Pandey, which is reminiscent of Bollywood's Bachchan and Pandey families. "At the Housefull 4 success celebration, I merely spotted a picture of Abhishek Bachchan and Chunky Pandey, and that's how we got the title Bachchhan Paandey," he explained. Farhad Samji directed Akshay Kumar's Housefull 4 and starred Chunky Pandey as Pehla Pasta and Aakhri Pasta. 

Akshay wore a grey tee and matching jacket with black jeans to the event. Kriti was dressed in a yellow gown, and Jacqueline was dressed in a colourful saree. Arshad Warsi was dressed in denim on denim. 

Akshay, who has previously played villains in films such as Khiladi 420 and Ajnabee, said he enjoyed playing a villain in Bachchan Pandey. "I realised that the villain has a good role and a lot of substance to his character, as opposed to the hero, who only wins in the final 10 minutes of the film. It was a lot of fun to play the part "He stated this at the occasion.

Farhad Samji is the director of Bachchan Pandey. Sajid Nadiadwala produced the film, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhimanyu Singh, Sanjay Mishra, and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.
