Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna mourn the loss of their pet dog Cleo

We have seen many B-Town celebrities who are very fond of their pets and treat them as nothing less than a part of their family. Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar have posted on social media about the loss of their dog, Cleo. The two expressed their feelings by sharing a few photos of the cuddly pet along with small phrases on social media. 

Twinkle said her heart felt heavy and hollow after she died when she was 12 years old. They adored Cleo and would occasionally post images and videos of the pet on Instagram.

Twinkle brushes Cleo's brown fur in the first clip, while Cleo rolls around on the grass and plays by itself in the second. The third image shows the German Shepherd clearly as it is recorded by the camera. Twinkle penned along with the pictures, “Our beautiful Cleo passed away. We had 12 wonderful years with her. I don’t know how the heart can feel heavy and empty at the same time, but it does.” 

Akshay Kumar also took to his social media accounts and shared pictures with their cute pet. The first picture shows Cleo with Akshay and Twinkle and the second one playfully shows it. He captioned it as, "They say dogs leave paw prints on our hearts. You took a part of our hearts with you today. Rest well up there, Cleo. Will miss you."

Twinkle had written a long piece last year about how much she adored Cleo. She had posted a video of her brushing him and wrote, "When I call out her name and she dashes towards me with a crow’s carcass in her mouth, I hold up her face wanting to reprimand her. But as I look into Cleo’s eyes, the colour of molasses and roasted cacao, it becomes clear, the reason why we unzip secret compartments of our heart in order to carefully tuck these creatures inside.”
