Just a few minutes back, Ajay Devgn took to his official Twitter handle to tease a surprise announcement. He shared a video stating that he has an exciting news for his fans but he will announce it only tomorrow.

Even before Ajay could drop the big news, his surprise announcement is out in the open. The actor will be announcing his digital debut with the thriller show titled ‘Luther’ tomorrow.

As reported by Pinkvilla, Ajay will be seen playing a detective in the psychological crime thriller. Luther is the official adaptation of the British classic of the same name and starred Idris Elba in the original.

The portal also quoted a source close to the development as saying:

“The character is multi-dimensional, with shades of grey to it, and required an actor of Ajay’s calibre.”

Ajay will be marking his digital debut with this Hotstar project, which will be produced by Applause Entertainment.

The series will be directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, known for his work with films like Ferrari Ki Sawaari and the Marathi film, Ventilator. While not much is known about the female lead, buzz is that Ileana D’Cruz will star alongside Ajay Devgn.
