Ajay Devgn: I’m not for kissing and nudity in films at all

Actor Ajay Devgn who has a legacy in this industry of more than 25 years now, has don several characters including the iconic Singham. The actor is currently gearing up for his upcoming release, De De Pyaar De alongside Tabu and Rakul Preet. Looking at his work in the field, there are very few films in which the actor has had a lip-lock with his leading lady. Ajay feels that his target audience is families and such scenes are not apt for a family watch.

In his recent interview with DNA, Ajay revealed his reason for not being in the favour of lip-locks on the screen. He said, "Most of the scripts I choose are aimed at a family audience. Given this, doing an onscreen kiss or showing intimacy beyond a certain limit doesn’t work. I like watching films with my family. I’m sure others too enjoy watching movies with their entire family. On screen intimacy can therefore be uncomfortable especially if you are watching a movie with a child or a young adult. Or for that matter with an elder. So, I would best avoid smooching. I’m not for kissing and nudity in films at all"

Apart from Ajay there are several other actors in the industry including Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan who has performed only a couple of lip-lock scenes in their entire career. This even though is not a trend that has been followed by most of the new actors in the present times but seems like the seniors don't want to make their target audience uncomfortable.
