Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty made his Bollywood debut in last year's release Tadap, opposite Tara Sutaria. Ahan recently opened up about Salman Khan's gesture of kissing Tadap's poster at the premiere and what it meant to him in a recent interview.

Salman Khan arrived at the film's premiere in December and, before meeting the media, walked up to the large poster of the film and kissed it. Suniel Shetty was moved by his gesture and rushed over to give him a hug. This incident's video went viral on social media, with fans applauding Salman's gesture.

In a recent interview, Ahan described the incident as a "dream come true" for him because he had been a Salman fan since he was a child. "I have looked upto Salman sir since I was a kid – I used to dance to his songs and take off my shirt. For him, to turn around and kiss my poster is a dream come true," Ahan told Pinkvilla..

Ahan went on to say that Salman's gesture was as good as his blessings to him. "He gave me the blessings, and I still can't believe it," he added.

Tadap is a remake of the Telugu film RX 100. Milan Luthria directed the romantic action drama, which released in theatres on December 3 of last year. However, the film performed poorly at the box office, grossing less than 35 crore, with many industry experts attributing the lukewarm business to Covid-19 and negative word of mouth.

Ahan also revealed to Pinkvilla that he has signed a multi-film deal with Sajid Nadiadwala's production company. However, the precise timeline of his films and the number of films he has signed remain unknown.

Ahan addressed his comparisons to father Suniel Shetty in an interview with Indian Express last year. "I am very proud to be my father’s son, but his journey was different and my journey is going to be different. I am just very happy that I can carry his legacy forward. Other than that I don’t feel any pressure. Ya, I am going to be compared to him, but you just can’t let that get to you,"He had stated.
