Former Cricketer Sreesanth Nair has been banned for lifetime from the cricket field after he was caught in a spot-fixing scandal during IPL, 2013. Since then, the fast bowler was out of action. However, the cricketer received a new lease of life on Friday morning after the Supreme Court lifted the life ban for his alleged involvement in the spot-fixing scandal.

Judges Ashok Bhushan and KM Joseph from the Supreme Court took into consideration that the former Cricketer has been out of action for past 5 years. Though, the court has not found him to be innocent but believes the punishment was too harsh and it needs to be altered. The court has asked BCCI's disciplinary committee to decide the quantum of punishment for Sreesanth in three months from today.

After the Supreme Court lifted the ban, wishes are pouring in for the cricketer. Have a look:

About the scandal, Sreesanth and his two other teammates (Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila)) were representing Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, 2013. They were arrested by the Delhi Police after their involvement in spot-fixing. In 2015, Sreesanth, Chandila and Chavan were cleared off the charges after the Delhi court failed to come up with any significant evidence against the three.

Now, we are awaiting BCCI's decision. Let us know your views in the comments below.
