After immense backlash, makers PULL DOWN Amitabh - Shweta starrer Ad

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda had collaborated the first time for an advertisement. This ad which displays the father-daughter bond also happens to be Shweta's first acquaintance with the camera.

While this jewelry advertisement received praises from the audience for its emotional connect, it offended the people of the Union Bank. As we had reported earlier, Soumya Datta, the general secretary of All India Bank Officers' Confederation, stated in a statement, "The advertisement portrays banks in a bad light, casting aspersion, hurting the sentiment of millions of personnel, stakeholders. And is a direct attempt to ruin the trust and confidence of billions of citizenries in banks."

The Confederation had asked the makers to at first apologies and also to take down the ad. After facing the criticism, the makers finally gave in and pulled down the ad on Sunday.

Confirming the same, the makers released a statement stating, "We sincerely regret the inadvertent hurt caused and withdraw the advertisement from all media with immediate effect. We understand that the advertisement has hurt sentiments of some people including members of our esteemed banking community."
