After 'Gangubai...', now 'Badhaai Do' release gets postponed

It wouldn't be unsafe to say that the reopening of theaters couldn't have witnessed a better start than the one Sooryavanshi has given. Not only has the film gone one to become the first 100cr grosser after Tanhaji back in January 2020 but also it has given all filmmakers the hope that when it comes to theaters and massy affairs, nothing is going away anytime soon.

While the upcoming two months do have some big-ticket affairs coming in, it is January 2022 when we are actually getting down to absolute business with the most mammoth of films are set and up for release. As one would remember, the biggest possible clash was announced when it was confirmed that S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus, RRR will release in the first week of January 2022 and in barely a gap of one day, another mega film in the form of Gangubai Kathiawadi will also release.

But yesterday we went on to mention how Gangubai Kathiawadi's release date was postponed and will now be releasing on 18th February 2022 instead. 

Now joining this list of postponing its release date is the film, Badhaai Do. That's right. The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer was set for a release on Republic Day 2022 but will instead now release in 4th February 2022.

As known, Badhaai Do is the continuation in an attempt to make a franchise out of Badhaai Ho and while the original started Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, this one stars Rao and Pednekar.

The film is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures.
