After Deepika Padukone’s fans trend #NotMyDeepika, Luv Ranjan’s old abusive tweets go viral!

Deepika Padukone was spotted with ex flame Ranbir Kapoor, outside Pyaar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan’s house. And, this has created quite a stir among fans on the Internet. Rumours have it that the 33 year old actress might star in the director’s next action thriller directorial, which already stars Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. 

However, soon after the actress’ pictures with RK leaving Ranjan’s house went viral, the actress’ fans started a trend #NotMyDeepika, and urged the actress to not continue with the project as the director was accused of sexual misconduct during the #MeToo campaign last year.

For the unaware, around October 2018, an undisclosed actress had accused Luv of sexual exploitation. The director’s loyalist had spoken in favour of him and the case did not move ahead any further. However, looks like DP’s fans still remember the incident and do not want the actress to associate with the director for any project.

Now, the actress’ fanclubs have dug out old and abusive tweets of Ranjan, which are going viral on the Internet. Check out the tweets below:

There are also reports that besides Deepika, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety fame Nushrat Bharucha has also been signed for the film. There are also speculations that Ajay Devgn will play the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s father in the film.

Meanwhile, if the actress happens to give her nod for the project, it will see the reunion of ex couple Ranbir and Deepika on screen after 4 years. The two were last seen together in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha. 

On the work front, Deepika will be next seen portraying the life of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak. She will also be seen opposite husband Ranveer Singh in the film, ‘83. Helmed by Kabir Khan, '83 is a biopic based on the life of veteran cricketer Kapil Dev, which talks about the time India won the coveted World Cup in 1983. The actress will essay the role of Kapil Dev’s wife in the film, Romi Dev.
