Reacting to the teaser of Ramayana, Vindu didn’t hold back. While he appreciated the scale and visuals, he stressed that audiences are deeply attached to the original version. In his words, “Jo Ramayan Ramanand Sagar ji ki bane hai, woh hum sabke dil-o-dimaag poori fit hai… woh historic hai, number one hai.”

He made it clear that the emotional connection viewers have with the original is not easy to recreate, and any new adaptation will inevitably be measured against it.

Praise for the Teaser and Ranbir Kapoor’s First Look

The teaser, which introduces Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, has already sparked major conversation online. Vindu acknowledged its visual strength, calling it “spectacular” and “very beautiful.”

He also pointed out that if the film manages to match the emotional depth and authenticity of the original, it could become a massive success. “Agar yeh picture uske saath match ho gayi, then it will be superhit… record-breaking hit,” he said.

The teaser also offered glimpses of Rama’s exile and a striking look at Yash as Ravana, adding to the anticipation around Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious vision.

A Clear Warning: “Don’t Deviate Too Much”

Despite the praise, Vindu sounded a note of caution. He warned that any major deviation from the established narrative or character portrayal could backfire. Referring to certain visuals, he said, “Kuch bhi deviation agar ki… log accept nahi karenge.”

He also drew a direct comparison with Adipurush, stating that from what he has seen so far, this version looks far better. “Yeh jitna bhi dekha hai, usse to bahut better lag rahi hai… main trailer dekh ke samaj gaya tha ki yeh flop hogi,” he added, criticising how excessive changes in that film didn’t resonate with audiences.

Backed by a massive budget and a two-part release plan, the new Ramayana is shaping up to be one of Indian cinema’s biggest projects. With stars like Sai Pallavi and Sunny Deol onboard, expectations are sky-high. Now, as excitement builds, we know one thing for sure that audiences are ready, but only if the story stays true to its soul.
