Actor Ankur Bhatia: Criticise me, love me, do whatever, but see my craft

Actor Ankur Bhatia, well known for his powerful performances in films like Zanjeer, Sarbjit and Haseena Parkar is currently working on his next untitled film, which is a crime thriller. The film is based on the illegal venom trafficking in the eastern part of the country, mostly West Bengal and Jharkhand. The film is directed by ace director Partha Ganguly. Ankur will be portraying the character of a corrupt cop in this film, his stint in the movie will add on to the drama level.

We got in touch with Ankur for a quick interview pertaining to the film, here are the excerpts from the conversation that we had with him.

Please tell us something about your character?

I can't reveal much about the character. I can talk about the setup. It's a film based on the illegal venom trafficking in the Eastern part of India. And I am playing corrupt police.

What inspired you to pick this role?

I was always inspired by crime thrillers. I used to watch CID. I had read a lot of books. I have seen other thrillers on the same genre. So there was an immediate attraction towards the script.

What special preparations did you do for this role?

I have started speaking in a certain manner. I have also worked on the physicality of the character.

What kinds of films do you want to do in future?

I want to do all genres. Not restricted to anything in particular. I am open to anything and everything in acting.
