Abhishek Bachchan Was Thrown Off The Sets of Amitabh Bachchan’s Pukar and Sent Back to Hotel; Actor Recalls

Abhishek Bachchan has completed twenty glorious years in the Hindi film industry. The son of superstar Amitabh Bachchan made his debut in 2000 with JP Dutta’s Refugee opposite Kareena Kapoor. Abhishek went on to star in several hit films including Dhoom, Dostana, Delhi-6, Guru, and Yuva. It’s been 20 years to his inspiring journey, and there’s no looking back.

To celebrate his 20 years in the industry, Abhishek has been posting anecdotes and fun memories on his social media. In one such recent post, the actor recalled how he was thrown off from the sets of his father Amitabh Bachchan’s film Pukar.

Abhishek shared that he was five years old when he visited the Goa set of his father Amitabh Bachchan’s 1983 hit film, Pukar and got excited on seeing a prop sword. Unintentionally, Jr. Bachchan broke the sword and was sent back to the crew hotel. He also shared a note about his film Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai.

“Two childhood best friends who wanted to make a movie together ever since they were thrown off the set of their fathers film for breaking the props because as a 5 yr old and 6 yr old we got excited seeing fake swords on set. The movie was #Pukar and @goldiebehl’s father ( the great Ramesh Behl) was the Director and my dad the lead. During the climax shoot in Goa we chanced upon the fake swords and started playing with them and then eventually breaking them. We were promptly sent back to the crew hotel. 19 yrs later we made our first film together,” Abhishek wrote in his post.

19 years later after the fun incident, Goldie Behl marked his debut as a director in the film Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai starring Abhishek alongside Rani Mukerji and Sushmita Sen.
