Abhishek Bachchan keeps his promise; holds first Dasvi screening in Agra Central jail

Dasvi is a social comedy tells the story of Ganga Ram Chaudhary, an anpadh, corrupt and dil se desi politician who finds a nayi chunauti in prison: education. Now, passing dasvi kaksha is his next manzil! With a quirky biwi by his side and a rough-tough jailor on his trail, what happens to this natkhat neta forms the crux of the plot. With Abhishek Bachchan as Ganga, the movie also features Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles.

While the movie is days away from its release, it has constantly been in the news from time to time. And now, it is in the news once again as Bachchan, decided to keep a promise he made a year ago, ahead of shooting in Agra Central jail, that he'd like for the film's first screening to happen there, and that's exactly what he did. In fact, junior Bachchan had also shared a post on social media as to how he is headed back to where it all began, in Agra.

Sharing a video of montages from the visit and the set up, he wrote:  A promise is a promise!! Last night I managed to fulfil a commitment I made a year ago. The first screening of our film #Dasvi held for the guards and inmates of Agra Central Jail. We shot the film here. Their reactions are memories I will remember and cherish for a lifetime.
