Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee to return as Bunty Aur Babli; will have a New Jodi joining them!

Remember the famous jodi of Bunty Aur Babli? The cute chemistry between Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee, not to forget the savage Amitabh Bachchan who plays the role of JCP Dashrath Singh. Bunty Aur Babli, directed by Shaad Ali, was released in the year 2005. It was one of the biggest hits of the year.

The iconic movie recently completed 14 years. Amitabh Bachchan celebrated the success by tweeting about it. The actor wrote, “T 3177 - 42 years of Amar Akbar Anthony !!! and 14 years of Bunty aur Babli .. AAA ran for 25 weeks in 25 theatres in Mumbai alone .. !!!! AND B&B .. 'kajrare ..' still in our 'eyes'”

Reports suggest that the hit jodi will be teaming up again for the sequel. The sequence is going to be called Bunty Aur Babli Again and the shooting will go on the floors next month. This sequel will also be directed by Shaad Ali. 

According to Pinkvilla, a few close sources close to the movie revealed, the talks about making a sequel have been going on for a long time and now the production house has finally decided to execute the project. 

The shooting for the movie will begin next month and the set is going to be constructed in Mumbai in the first week of June. It will definitely be a delight for the audiences to watch a sequence of the movie Bunty Aur Babli which happened to be one of the biggest hits of its time.

A source close to Pinkvilla quoted, "Unlike Bunty Aur Babli, the second installment will not have just Rani and AB Junior. There will be two pairs of actors with a jodi from the younger generation of actors joining the two main leads from the original. 

"The story has been written in a way which requires two leading pairs. It needs to be seen if Amitabh Bachchan also reprises his role in the sequel. But as of now, the makers are currently in the process of looking at the Gen-Y actors for the film."

Bunty Aur Babli was about two individuals who hail from small towns and eventually become con artists in order to fulfill their dream of becoming rich and famous. Amitabh Bachchan was a very significant part of the original movie and it can be hoped that the makers of the sequel rope in the megastar once again in the upcoming project. 

Well, we are excited to watch how this sequel will turn out with two leading pairs.
