14 Shows & Films To Look Out For Streaming in March on Leading Platforms

Shows from leading digital platforms like Alt Balaji, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, Netflix, and others.

*After a mediocre month of content to look forward to last month except a couple of exciting projects, the month of March is here and the ante of good content to be taken into account has been upped just a bit. Okay, not just a bit but quite a lot. There are some long-awaited, delayed and intriguing projects to look at this month. So, let's just dive straight into it, shall we?

ZEE5

Operation Parindey

When: March 7th

Yes. This show was supposed to be out on 28th February but got delayed by just over a week. In case you missed out on what the show is about - Web favorite Amit Sadh stars in the leading role in this original film which is an action thriller focused on a high-stakes jailbreak coming from Dhoom and Dhoom 2 director, Sanjay Gadhvi.

State of Seige 26/11

When: March 14th

Another show on the same streamer - State of Seige 26/11 was originally intended for a January release but after a substantial delay, the show is now coming on the web this month. While the title and trailer speak for itself, this show about NSG commandos in action will have TV men like Arjun Bijlani and Vivek Dahiya in a new avatar apart from long-runner Arjan Bajwa.

APPLE TV

Amazing Stories

When: March 6th

Another project that has been delayed for a while now but it is finally ready to roll as this anthology series about wonder, possibility and imagination from the legend himself Steven Speilberg (executive producer) arrives for us to witness.

SM2

ALT BALAJI

Mentalhood

When: 11th March

It has always been a sorta mixed bag with Alt Balaji where apart from some of the most preposterous shows on the streamer, there are some shows which bring a sense of belief and relief. The promos and absolutely phenomenal cast of Mentalhood seem to belong to the latter. With Karisma Kapoor making her digital debut, the show is certainly not just about her bt a stellar ensemble cast that include the likes of Sandhya Mridul, Shruti Seth and Tillotama Shome among others. We are looking forward to it.

3

HOTSTAR

Little Fires Everywhere

When: March 19th

It seems Reese Witherspoon loves the world 'little' as, after Big Little Lies, she is back with another series called Little Fires Everywhere. Putting that bad joke away, Witherspoon teaming up with Kerry Washington in a show that follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives; there aren't many factors left to coax you to watch it. So, watch it.

Westworld

When: March 16th

I mean, come on, if you don't know about Westworld Season 3 so far already, you seem to be living under the rock. The robots are back for revolution and none other than Breaking Bad man Aaron Paul joins the third season of this genius madness from Jonathan Nolan.

Special Ops

When: March 17th

It has been quite a while since Hotstar Specials had an Indian original (noteworthy) and that wait is over finally with a new Indian show, Special Ops from Neeraj Pandey, that stars Kay Kay Menon, Sana Khan and he return of Karan Tacker into acting world after a while. While the trailer was seemingly okay-ish, we still have faith in Pandey's skill for producing amazing thrillers.

AMAZON PRIME VIDEO

ZeroZeroZero

When: March 6th

The fact that we can still not get over and fatigued with Pablo Escobar, Miguel Gallardo & others' shenanigans, we wonder if there is something like 'too much gangster sagas.' With Amazon's new series, ZeroZeroZero, that certainly doesn't seem to be the case. Here's the five-word description of the show to have you certainly not miss it - inner operations of the cocaine trade. Done.

Relatively Relatable - Stand Up Special By Naveen Richard

When: March 20th

Another month and another stand-up special to look forward to and this time, it is Naveen Richard. Termed to be a comedian that appeals to niche viewers, Richard's second special is one that all of us are definitely looking forward to.

Pushpavalli Season 2

When: March 13th

It is almost a crime as to how underrated Pushpavalli is and how still not many know about the first season of this comedy series. Fortunately, we now have another season coming in about a confused and imperfect soul on going to extents for finding love. The amazing Sumkhi Suresh returns in the titular character.

The Test: A New Era for Australia’s Team

When: March 11th

Had this been just a documentary about unprecedented access into the dressing room and everyday life in the Australian cricket team, it would have been alluring enough but with the infamous fixing saga having Steve Smith and David Warner's ouster from the sport for a year in focus, that makes this show all the more unmissable.

S5

NETFLIX

Maska

When: March 20th

Netflix's miss-and-miss saga with Indian content has been prolonged for a while now and that may just change a bit with the line-up of shows and films from India that will be available on the streamer this month. First up is Maska that has the fantastic Manisha Koirala and singer-turned-actor Shirley Setia along with TV favorite Nikita Dutta in the principal cast where the film is about a young man who sets out to become a movie star until a summer romance shows him the fine line between dreams and delusions.

Guilty

When: March 6th

Dharma Productions had a glorious misfire with Drive on the streamer last year but has made a new actual digital content arm, Dharmatic, it's maiden production, Guilty will be available on the streamer soon. The show stars Kiara Advani as a girl whose boyfriend is accused of raping another student, leaving the authorities to navigate the various versions to determine the truth of what went down. Let's hope this is a second success story for Advani after Lust Stories and the first one for Dharmatic.

Ladies Up

When: TBD

With a barrage of comedy specials coming in from male comedians lately, this Netflix stand-up special having a stellar line-up Prashasti Singh, Kaneez Surka, Supriya Joshi and Niveditha Prakasam coming together is one special we certainly do not want to miss.
