Khushi sat in Arnav's arms in her room at the Gupta House. Their emotions were heightened and Khushi sensed the tension in Arnav's touch. She knew what Anjali meant for Arnav. He could fight the world for her, would listen to anything that he says and never fought back. Today would qualify as the toughest day of his existence. Arnav ran his fingers through Khushi's hair quietly. Khushi finally broke the silence and says, 'Kuch toh kahiye. Kab tak chup rahege?' Arnav was surprised to hear her and asked, 'Tum jaag rahi ho?' Khushi sits up straight and says, 'Hum kaise so sakte hai jab aap itne pareshan hai?' Arnav touches her face and says, 'I deserve it, Khushi. Maine tumhare saath galat toh kiya hi hai.' Khushi quickly says, 'Aap kyun aisa keh rahe hai? Galatfehmi thi.' Arnav argues, 'Stupidity thi.' He tries to continue but Khushi puts her hands on his lips to stop him from blaming himself. Khushi says, 'Hamare pati stupid nahi hai, samjhe aap?' Arnav smiles sadly and continues to caress Khushi's face. He slowly bends his head to place it in her lap. Khushi does not know how to make him feel better. She says, 'Sab pehle jaise ho jayega, Arnavji.' She gently pats his forehead trying to put him to sleep. She then kisses his forehead and smoothens his frown saying, 'Hamara bharosa nahi hai aapko?' Arnav places his hand at the back of her head bringing her extremely close to his face and says, 'Sirf tumpar bharosa hai, Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada.' He inches forward to kiss her and Khushi readily gives in to a moment that would change her life forever. Arnav felt his sorrows shed away as Khushi clung on to him claiming him as her own.

Khushi wakes up to find herself secured in Arnav's arms. Her heart skipped multiple beats as Arnav's breathing tickled her neck. She turned to look at him and kissed his chin. He opened his eyes slightly and looked at her adoringly. She asks, 'Hum jaaye?' Arnav strengthens his grip and says, 'Pouchogi toh hamesha na hi sunogi.' Khushi smiles and says, 'Humhe uthne deejiye. Sab bahar kya soch rahe hoge?' Arnav pouts and says, 'I don't think unhe zyada sochne ki zaroorat hai considering hum dono pati patni hai.' Khushi playfully nudges him and says, 'Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, hamare gharon mein shaadi shuda log bhi jadli uthte hai.' She goes to take out her tongue but Arnav says, 'In that case...' and quietens her with a kiss. Khushi hurries out of bed and says, 'Aap soye rahiye, hum aate hai.' Arnav says, 'Ek minute Khushi.' Khushi is concerned and says, 'Kya hua?' Arnav comes up to her and says, 'Ek baat kehna bhool gaya tha.' Khushi looks at him questioningly and he kisses her cheek and says, 'I love you!' Khushi shakes her head and goes to freshen up. Arnav waits for Khushi to return and meanwhile wonders about what to do next. He calls Aman and asks him to look out for a house for him to stay in. Khushi comes in and is shocked to hear this. She asks, 'Aap Shantivan wapas nahi jayege?' Arnav looks down and says, 'Kiske liye?' Khushi says, 'Apni Di ko bachane ke liye. Woh insaan hospital mein hain, jail mein nahi.' Arnav says, 'Main waha nahi ja sakta. Main jo karouga, yahi se hoga.' Khushi cups his face in her hands and says, 'Agar aap mujhe galat samajh sakte hai toh Di aapko nahi?' Arnav retorts, 'Khushi, don't even try. Main wapas nahi ja raha houn.'

Buaji came back from the market to see Khushi in the kitchen making jalebis. Buaji comes up to her and says, 'Sankadevi, ee ka? Wapas jalebiyan ka paharh? Arnav bitwa ko toh shakkar ki bimari hai na?' Khushi says, 'Sirf shakkar ki kaha, Buaji gusse ki bhi! Hum kya karege Buaji? Woh ghar wapas nahi ja rahe. Woh Shyam ko rokege kaise?' Buaji blesses her and says, 'Oo sab kar lege, Tum kahe pareshan hovat ho? Devi maiyya par bharosa nahi hai ka?' Khushi looks guilty and says, 'Woh hum unse naraaz the toh kaafi din se baat nahi ki.' Buaji smiles and says, 'Titalliya, woh toh sab jaanat hai. Tum gussa ho ya na ho, woh humri pyaari Khusi bitiya se naraaz nahi hogi.' Khushi hugs Buaji and kisses Buaji her cheek and continues making her jalebis. Buaji goes and Arnav walks in to see to see his "unbelievable" Khushi talking to herself, 'Par hum unhe kaise manayege? Woh toh naraaz hai.' Khushi looks up to see Arnav standing against the pillar admiring her. She says, 'Aap aa gaye? Yeh leejiye black coffee.' He asks, 'Aur meri jalebi?' Khushi says, 'Aap aur jalebi?' Arnav points towards her lips and smiles. She blushes crimson and says, 'Arnavji...' Arnav says, 'Sirf Arnav.' Khushi says, 'Sirf Arnav.. Mera matlab hai Arnav, nashta kar leejiye.' Arnav stands next to her and says, 'Tumhe dekh liya, kaafi hai.' Khushi rolls her eyes and says, 'Yeh Ra One, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai ke Rahul kaise ban gaye?' They both laugh and are shocked to hear Shashi call out to them.
