Vidya Balan's candid confession about baking mishap for hubby Siddharth Roy Kapur

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur, known for their enduring bond, have been happily married for nearly 12 years. As Vidya gears up for the release of her upcoming film, Do Aur Do Pyaar, she opened up about her relationship with her husband and shared a heartwarming anecdote about their first anniversary.

In a recent interview with News 18 Showsha, Vidya reminisced about their special day, recalling how she surprised Siddharth with a homemade cake despite not being skilled in the kitchen. With the help of a chef while she was on a film shoot, Vidya attempted baking, though the result wasn't perfect. 

She chuckled, 

“I don’t cook at all. But on our first anniversary, I had actually baked a cake for him. I was shooting elsewhere, and I went into the kitchen of that hotel and the chef helped me a lot. Once Siddharth had it, he told me, ‘It’s so good!’ It was so sweet of him. And then when I tasted it, I realized it wasn’t good at all! It was so lumpy. I didn’t tell him that the chef helped me make it, but now I guess he’ll know.”

Despite the mishap, Vidya appreciated Siddharth's gesture of kindness, acknowledging his support and understanding of her work. She expressed gratitude for their shared profession, noting how it facilitates mutual understanding. "And that’s also the flip side because I can’t lie to him about being exhausted due to work," she added.

Reflecting on modern relationships, Vidya expressed her gratitude for finding her life partner before the era of dating apps. With Do Aur Do Pyaar set to release soon, Vidya's fans eagerly await to see her on screen alongside Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D'Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
