Every year the International Day of Yoga is held on 21st June, with an aim to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. And apart from wowing audiences with their acting prowess, actors also give fans fitness goals by choosing and promoting a healthy lifestyle. 

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Zee TV actress Bhaweeka Chaudhary a.k.a. Nandini from Maitree shared her favourite yoga poses and benefits she have witnessed through Yoga with an intention to inspire her followers to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. 

Bhaweeka Chaudhary who essays the role of Nandini in Zee TV’s Maitree mentioned, “To be honest, I am a fitness freak, and I don’t like to skip my gym. Along with the gym, every alternate day I am used to doing yoga. It is a great way to boost overall health and immunity, along with the right diet. Moreover, it also helps me to function wisely, other than fitness benefits, it creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns, relaxes the mind, centers attention, and sharpens concentration. I believe it has the power to make you introspect better, which brings in much-needed positivity. The breathing exercises especially, help you align the chakras which is extremely crucial for one's well-being.
