Gurucharan Singh missing: Police issue first official statement on 'TMKOC' actor's disappearance

Actor Gurucharan Singh, famously known for his portrayal of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the beloved sitcom "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," has been reported missing for approximately four days now. He had been visiting his parents in Delhi and was expected to return to Mumbai. However, there has been no contact from him since 22 April, causing immense worry for his family and fans alike. Following a complaint filed by his father, the Delhi Police has taken action, registering an FIR in a case of suspected kidnapping.

In the latest development regarding the disappearance of actor Gurucharan Singh, also recognised as Roshan Singh Sodhi, DCP South-west Rohit Meena provided an official statement reported by ANI. He stated, "Gurucharan Singh's family lodged a complaint with us that he left for Mumbai on 22 April at 8:30 pm. He has been missing since then. We have registered a case and are investigating from multiple angles. We are looking for footage and technical investigation, and we have even found many vital clues... We have registered a case under Section 365 of the IPC... The initial probe involves following his movement according to CCTVs and analysing corroborative technical evidence. He is seen going with a backpack."

The initial probe has involved tracking his movements through CCTV footage, revealing sightings of Singh carrying a backpack as he crossed a road in the Palam area around 9:14 pm on Monday night, despite his scheduled flight departure at 8:30 pm.

Adding to the concern, a neighbour of Gurucharan Singh shared insights into the actor's character and habits. According to Akash, the neighbor, Singh would visit his parents' residence occasionally, demonstrating warmth and affection towards the children in the neighborhood, often taking photos with them. The revelation of Gurucharan Singh's disappearance came as a shock to the community, as they had only recently become aware of his absence.
