Actress Sonali Bendre is currently busy promoting her web show 'Broken News S2'. The actress made a comeback to the screens with the first season of the show after she her long hiatus due to cancer. Recently she engaged in a candid conversation with India Forums and talked about the show, a headline that impacted her and many other things. When asked, "Could you share a headline or news piece that had a profound impact on you, serving as a source of motivation or inspiration?

To this she said, "Well, I don't remember the exact headline, but I remember that my husband had sent this piece to me and forwarded it to me when I was going through my treatment. The headline was about how the rate of, you know, checking tests among women had gone up, and the graph, and it was a business newspaper that was showing how the graph had shot up and how the women were testing."

She further added. "And he, because you know at that point of time there were a lot of people who did say that why is she talking about it so much, is it publicity and stuff like that. And I did feel a bit that maybe I was talking too much about it. And I remember my husband sending this headline to me saying, don't care about what anybody says; look at what you're doing. And I cannot tell you, even today; I meet so many people and so many women especially, who say I read your news, I heard what you said, I went and got tested, I caught mine in the early stage. And that you know because I keep saying that when you catch it in early stage, cancer is curable and that has, so that headline for me will always remain special."

For those unfamiliar with her journey, Sonali received a diagnosis of stage four metastatic cancer back in 2018. Following treatment at a hospital in New York City, she achieved remission in 2021. Since overcoming her battle with cancer, she has been actively involved in raising awareness and providing support for fellow survivors.
